Theresa (Newsham) Langevin, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 4, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Edmond F. Langevin for 73 years. Born in Pawtucket, RI on May 13, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Cora Newsham.

Theresa grew up in Pawtucket and lived there all her life where she and Ed raised a family of four boys. She worked at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for several years before her retirement. In her younger years, Theresa loved to spend time at the beach where she would body-surf for hours. She also enjoyed Quahogging with Ed at Fog Land Beach in Tiverton, RI. Theresa’s other passion was spending time with her family and playing Poker with the gang: Ed, Robert, Charlie, Steve, Debbie, Bill, George, and Craig. Those were memorable times for all.

Theresa had four sons, the late Robert E. Langevin and his late wife Winifred formerly of Pawtucket, RI, Raymond Charles Langevin and his wife Deborah of Seekonk, MA, Stephen A. Langevin and his wife Jacqueline of Pawtucket, RI, and Richard M. Langevin and his wife Lucy of Virginia Beach, VA.

Theresa came from a large family of three brothers and six sisters, by whom she was predeceased. She is survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The Committal Service will be held on March 1st in the Chapel at the RI Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, R.I. and is respectfully open to family only. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet in the Administration Office parking lot prior to the commencement. Thank you.
